The Arkansas, U.S., Compiled Marriages, 1851-1900 index at Ancestry shows a date of 30 Jun 1889. My preliminary research suggests their children were Fnu (?-prob. bef. 1900, name added based on mother's claim that son Elmer was her 3rd child & on the 1910 census showing 5 born & 3 living), Luther Clyde (1893-1971, m. Esther B Biggs), Elmer Cleo (1895-1955, Ella's 3rd child; Field Clerk AGD (Adjutant General's Dept) WWI, m. Louise Anderson 1934 in AL), Monnie O (1897-1944, daughter, apparently never married), and Asa A Arnn (1907-1907, Find A Grave is the only source, though the 1910 confirms a 5th child).6,2,7
Census1900*	John and Ella appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Revilee Twp., Logan Co., Arkansas, enumerated 2 June 1900, as 46 yo John H & 29 yo Ella J Arnn. Their children 6 yo Luther, 4 yo Elmer, and 2 yo son Onie D Arnn were listed as living with them.7
Census1910	John and Ella appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Wellington, Collingsworth Co., Texas, enumerated 19 April 1910, as 57 yo J H & 39 yo Anna Arnn. Three children were listed as living with them: namely, 16 yo Luther C, 14 yo Elmer Cleo, and 12 yo Monie O Arnn. Monie is now a daughter but was a son in 1900. Also in the home were two sisters-in-law, 28 yo Bertha and 26 yo Lizzie Arnn.8

Birth*	Martha was born on 9 October 1856 in Arkansas, d/o W W & Clarissa Stepp. Find A Grave claims 19 Oct 1866 but that's got to be a typo. She has a 4 yo daughter in the 1880 census. I'm going with her death certificate.2,3
Marriage*	Her first marriage was to Edward McBride "Mack" Arnn, son of Abihu Aaron Arnn and Margaret Reynolds "Peggy" Blair, on 20 December 1874 at Pope Co., Arkansas. My preliminary research suggests their children were Roxanne (1875-1934, m. Joseph Williams 1901 Conway, AR), Henrietta "Etta" (1877-1967, m. Edward Payson Cunningham 1905 Conway, AR), Joseph William (1878-1953), Wilma Myrtle (1881-1965, m1 William Homer "John" Stout 1909 Conway, AR; m2 Edward Lee Schrimsher 1924 Yavapai, AZ), and Alabama Arnn (1883-1884).4,1

M. & 23 yo Martha Aaron (or Arnn if you're creative). Their three children 4 yo Rosana (indexed Raxana), 2 yo Henrietta, and 0.6 yo unnamed son were listed as living with them, as well as Edward's 27 yo brother John, and one boarder. Edward is an undertaker, John is a cabinetmaker.5
Marriage*	Her second marriage was to James Madison "Jim" Williams on 3 October 1886 at Pope Co., Arkansas. My preliminary research suggests their children were Dinkie Lou (1887-1974, m. FSTrees's claim that he was the son of George Owen Bowman and Ann Penelope Carter is supported by the 1860 census.

My preliminary research suggests their children were Mariah Louisa (c1865- ), Margaret Virginia (1865-1946, m. Fnu Jennings), Marcie J (c1868- ), John B (c1869- ), Robert Tipton "Tip" (1871-1957, m. Also in the home was 20 yo Samuel L Nunn.6

Montecito, CA 1949), Mary E Arnn (c1879- ), Louvinia Virginia (c1880-1925, m. Philip Newton Buchanan 1899 Baxter, AR; never shows with her parents in a census but her death record lists her parents), Etta Viola (1881-1970, m. John Forrest Jones 1920 Grady, OK; res. Marlow, OK 1949), and Samuel Isaac Arnn (1888-1971, m. Bessie Haskel Johnson 1906 Baxter, AR; res. Paradise, CA 1949).      Four others who show up only in Ancestry's Buchanan tree include William C (1866-1866), James E (1867-1867), Adam (1868-1868), and Hardy Arnn (1884-1884). Rachel shows 11 born with 6 living in the 1900 census. If 11 is correct then only three of the four Buchanan tree names can be correct, but I've found no primary evidence for any of them.3,4,1

My preliminary research suggests their only child was William H. "Willie" Reynolds (1860-1887). Willie lived with his grandparents in the 1860 & 1880 censuses, but also enumerated with his parents in the 1860.      Devin Family claims date of 07 Jan 1858 w/o citation. I'm going with "Virginia, Bureau of Vital Statistics, County Marriage Registers, 1853-1935" database.3,4
Death*	Mary died on 2 June 1860 in Pigg River Dist., Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.2,5

She is the widow Moon in her Civil War pension app of 18 Aug 1908.3,4,1

Marriage*	She married Henry Clay Reynolds, son of William Garrett Reynolds and Elizabeth Elvira "Betsy" Blair, on 12 January 1869 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Registration date is 21 Jan. The 12 Jan date is from Catherine's pension application. Timber claims location of Henry Co, VA. The pension app is unreadable on that line. In the 1910 census Catherine shows 9 born with 3 still living but there's good evidence that four were living in 1910. My preliminary research suggests seven of their alleged nine children were William H (1869-1954, m. Lizzie B Pruett 1894 in CO), Jno H (James T?,1872-1913), Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" (1875-1953, m. George Thomas Worley 1895 Pittsylvania), George Samuel (1879-1953, m. Inez B McMinnis 1902 Caswell, NC), Maud Anna (1881-1947, m. ResearchNote*	Research Note re a challenging family. Private sources disagree on names of children. The censuses provide little clarity. There were at least two men named Henry C. Reynolds in Pittsylvania County in the time period involved, one or both of whom had the middle name Clay.      Census sources: 1870 : we find only Henry & Jane Reynolds, no children. 1880 : we find only Henry & Catherine J, plus chldren William H, Jno H, Elizabeth, and Geo S Reynolds. 1900 : we find only Henry & Jane, plus child George. 1910 : we find only Henry C & Cathern J Reynolds, plus a 16yo granddaughter Rosa Hedrich. Here's a problem - Catherine shows 9 born with 3 still living (and no, the '3' is definitely not an '8'). The three most plausible candidates, each with a FamilySearch death record showing names of both parents, are James T (Jno H?), Maud Anna, and Sissie. Wrong person.      Reynolds VA to PA (my source no. 2311) lists four Henry C Reynolds: a) Edward Henry Clinton Reynolds, b. 1873 in Cecil Co., MD. Wrong person. b) Henry C Reynolds, b. 1826 in Cecil Co., MD. Wrong person. The fact that alleged daughters Virginia B (should be ca 6 yo, and Sarah (should be ca 5 yo) are missing is troubling.8
